This Week's Sermon
Br. ChiSing, Interfaith Mindfulness Ministries
Br. ChiSing is an Interfaith retreat facilitator,
spiritual director, ritual artist, musician, and the founder of
Interfaith Mindfulness Ministries. He has a B.A. in Religion from a
Protestant university, an M.A. in Spirituality from a Catholic college,
and a Master of Divinity from a Unitarian Universalist seminary. He was
ordained by the Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh in 2003. He was also
commissioned into ministry by a congregation of the United Church of
Christ in 1995. Br. ChiSing's vision for ministry is to encourage
Buddhist, Christian, and other faith communities to practice Mindful
Spirituality in an Interfaith, Earth-based way, with an emphasis on
creativity, music, and the arts.

Pathways Happenings
Pathways Summer Film Festival
Next Showing:
Saturday, July 19, 7:30 p.m.
Mark the dates of July 19, and August 16 in your calendar
and plan to be at Pathways for the Saturday night Summer Film Festival.
The festival will raise your environmental consciousness, show you how
community activism works, stimulate your mind and imagination with the
mysteries of quantum physics, and inspire you with the power of
forgiveness. All showings will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 19
The Power of
Forgiveness won Best Film award at the Sun Valley Film
Festival. It examines the role forgiveness can play in alleviating anger
and grief after such horrific events as the Amish school shooting, as
well as the physical, mental and spiritual benefits that come with
forgiveness. It includes stories and interviews with people from many
faith traditions: Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh; Nobel Peace Laureate
Elie Wiesel on forgiveness in the Jewish faith; Azim Khamisa on
forgiveness and Islam; Rev. James Forbes, pastor of Riverside Church in New York, on forgiveness from a Christian perspective. And best-selling author Thomas
Moore (Care of the Soul) speaks on forgiveness from a spiritual
dimension.
